Equine and Animal Assisted Activities for Special Needs Students

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR WEEKLY CLASSES

We have new students signing up.
 More volunteers needed immediately!!! 

Mondays from 5:00 pm to 7 pm 
Tuesdays from 5:30 pm to 8 pm 
Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm 
Saturday from 9:00 am to Noon 

Min. 14 years of age (will consider a mature 13 year old!) 

No experience with horses or exceptional need students necessary! 

Training will be provided - classes are supervised by riding instructor

Welcome to SOUTHERN STARRS, Inc.

MISSION: Southern STARRS is dedicated to providing safe and goal oriented therapeutic and recreational horseback riding and animal assisted activities to special needs children and adults.

New Volunteer Training and Orientation is held the first day that you participate. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, call us today and we will work with your schedule.

Southern STARRS is located at Lone Willow Farm which is privately owned.  The use of the facility is donated exclusively for Southern STARRS to hold its program activities, and the owners also volunteer their time in helping to run the program.  Because of their generosity, contributions to STARRS directly support the special needs students served by the agency. 
Southern STARRS is a United Way of Wilson County allocated member.
